We aired this on a Wednesday night instead of our regular Thursday and you know what? We didn’t like it. It just didn’t feel right, especially when we woke up and it wasn’t Friday. So expect a return to our normal Thursday time slot. Outside of that, this was a great show with lots to talk about including our thoughts on the Spotify, more Kindle talk and our dilemma of Facebook vs. Google+ and the battle within. We checked in to see what Fabio is up to these days and talked a bit about how great it must have been to work for Nintendo Power magazine back in the day, cued by a new listener Matthew from Boston.
We also kicked off our first contest of the new season! Pop culture artist Brandon Bird has drawn and painted lots of internet-famous art that incorporates your favorite celebrities. His past subjects have included Stallone, Christopher Walken, Harrison Ford and Mr T. Well he recently drew a picture of punk pioneer Henry Rollins without his tattoos, so we figured it would be a great to cheer Mr. Rollins up by giving him some of our own. We’re asking YOU to give Henry Rollins some tattoos and if we like your tattoos the most, you’ll win a wonderful CAVEradio prize package. We’ll give you a couple weeks to work on your entries, so keep an eye out for entry deadlines.
