Summer is slowly coming to and end and Fall is slowly starting, so lets celebrate! Come join us for the first CAVEradio Picnic on Saturday, September 19 at Griggs Reservoir. This isn’t anything fancy, just a chance for our listeners to meet, hang out, enjoy some food, some friends, and some lazy sports.
We’re not reserving any location at Griggs, but there are plenty of picnic tables and shelters…we’ll just have to squat because we won’t know what will be open until we get there – but we’re going to try and find a spot north of Fishinger Road.
The picnic will “officially” start at 1:00p. We’ll be bringing some light snacks and some drinks. If you plan on attending and can bring a snack or case of beverage, it would be appreciated. We’ll bring cornhole, frisbees, balls, and other lazy things, but feel free to bring anything else you have that people might enjoy.
Feel free to bring your friends and come hang out for as long as you can. The Ohio State game is away that weekend (and they’re playing Toldeo, yawn), so hopefully you can stop by even if just for a little bit. The more the merrier!
Comment below if you have any thoughts or questions about the picnic. We’ll see you there on the 19th!

Obligatory Questions: Are kids and/or alcohol OK?
Alcohol is not allowed as per park rules. So if you were planning on bringing beer or whatever, consider bringing a pack of water or soda instead.
However, kids are allowed, so long as you’re cool with your kids being around a bunch of adult with fowl mouths that will probably behave worse than any child.
Also discovering that the shelter houses at Griggs are non-reservable, so it’s highly possible we may squat in a house if they are open when we get there. Otherwise, we’ll just make a picnic table HQ.
hey CAVEradio its Angie from Jersey… since i dont live in Ohio, can i skype in to your picnic lol
Ha! If the park had wifi we probably would broadcast. We do need to do a remote broadcast, if only to just see if we can pull it off.
you know how you almost never have any plans, and then one day everyone you know plans something really fun. yeah … I’ll be at the beach that day.
Murphy’s Law in effect!! But hey, I’d say the beach beats our little picnic any day. There will be more gatherings, no worries – and there’s always the post-show CAVEin at Perkins!
Enjoy the beach!
Bah, I’m at work till 6.
Hmmm…we may just move the time back then until 3p or so, that way more of you guys can at least drop by after 5p or so. We’ll have to discuss it this week.
If it backs up I will have to make sure to stop by target for some cars.
